Michaels has Kids Club every Saturday morning between 10am-12pm. You pay $2 per child to do a themed art project while you go shopping (at Michaels or nearby). The fee includes art supplies and the best part is, you don’t have to clean up the mess afterwards!
I only found out about the Kids Club last week while shopping for some art supplies and what a great find! My 3 year old was with me so we made a harvest mobile together. This week, I brought both my kids and they each made a Frankenstein with perler beads. I actually stayed with them to do the art project because I love doing art with my kids. We did some shopping afterwards.
So what did I buy at Michaels today? I got two items:
- Silicone bat mold ($6.99 after 30% discount on Halloween items)
- Do A Dot Art rainbow markers ($8.50 after using a 50% off any one regular price item coupon)
Total including tax was $16.83, which I paid with a Michaels gift card I got at 25% discount on Raise.com. That means my out of pocket cost was only $12.62. Without any discounts, coupons, or gift cards, both items would have been $29.34, so I saved 57% by stacking store discounts, coupons, and gift cards!
